The goal of this particular bag is to portray the Polar Bear "threatened species" situation in a positive manner so that it creates awareness. Their species are diminishing because of global warming."
Hence, this bag will create person-to-person discussion as to global warming, the polar ice caps melting and how this threatens the polar bear population.
You see the Polar Bears depend on the Polar Ice Caps. The NRDC (National Resources Defense council) reports that “Polar bears spend most of their time roaming the Arctic on large chunks of floating ice, finding mates, hunting for seals and fattening themselves up for the warmer, ice-free months of the year. Yet that ice -- so crucial for the bears’ survival -- is now melting under their feet due to global warming.”
They also report that “over the past three decades the Arctic ice cap has shrunk by 1 million square miles -- an area six times the size of California. Scientists are finding more evidence of polar bear drownings, cannibalism, starvation and cub deaths”.
